MISCELLANEOUS MOMENTS

Benefits of walking everywhere: experiencing all the gorgeous skies

Because sometimes you get really homesick and Ben&Jerry's with your best travel bud makes it all a little easier

:)

We got a wand!!

My first acai bowl!

Did I mention our roommates are disgusting?

Grilled Dory... :(

Still working on my fitness :D

Spontaneous trip to Burleigh Beach :)

What country do I live in again?? It's cold!!

Pastel skies walking home from campus

Snake handlers at school...no biggie

The sidewalk told me to have a happy day :)

Two places at once: check

Pretty excited when I found these little prepped meals sold on campus

First day of class selfie weee

It tasted like a liquid Reese's (MaxBrenner - look them up!)

I was really craving Chipotle and went on a mission to find something similar. Found Zambrero and ended up with a tummy ache :(

The hottest day we've experienced so far (especially with no A/C) calls for froyo

A little color never hurt nobody ;)

The best time of the day... PBJ time :D

Teaching myself how to skate... I'm coming back a pro ;)

The Coffee Club break!

Chasing seagulls

Pushing shopping carts down the road is exhausting :P I like naps.

The grocery store is a mile away. And today we bought two cases of water. So we just took the cart.

My first meal on campus! WOO! Yeah pizzaaaa :D

He was staring at me the entire time. These things are everywhere and apparently they are called Australian Magpies

Like a kid in a candy store. Lindsey finally found some craft beer! :) And I got a lesson on brewing

WE SPOTTED A KITTY IN THE YARD. And we are now trying to coax him into being our friend. We named him muffin.

These deliciously addictive little Australian cookies come in all kinds of flavors and today I stocked up :D (They taste exactly like the British chocolates called "penguins" if you've ever tried those)

Attempted a little night-time yoga sesh after a rainy day. And then my bike fell apart about three times. So that was fun.

Found a pretty trail right by the water when I went for a run, although it wasn't much of a run as I kept stopping to take pictures

Being that the day was extra hot, we had been thinking about ice cream since noon. Talked about it all day and that night made the walk to McD's in our excitement. Found this on the door.

Hanging out the laundry on the clothes line, woo panty parade! No but really, the clothes dry super fast and leaves them smelling super fresh :D

Been dipping just about everything in peanut butter lately, especially cookies (already went through a jar in the first week hehe)

Vegemite prepared the right way: by a real Australian! Not too bad, but I'd never willingly choose to eat it

Went on a damn near expedition to find a bottle of wine! Liquor stores close at nine.. Gas stations and grocery stores don't sell alcohol! Walked quite a distance to get this bad boy, and you better believe we finished it.

PROTEIN! Well at least in brands I recognize... I probably got a little too excited when I found this isle. Wayyyy more expensive here :(

Tried to navigate our own way to Harbour Town - failed. Wandered through a nature trail and discovered trees FULL of screaming bats.

Typical tourists stopping and taking pictures of all the "stingers" washed up on the beach. (Our Aussie roommate says these ones are harmless - "you can slap them")

Arrived in Sydney around 10AM and had ourselves a cold Australian beer!
